This stem arrived with a few chips, scratches, and flakes of paint falling off. It appears to have been painted with a $4 can of rustoleum rather than any sort of professional method. The actual clamp part (where the stem contacts the handlebars) is completely smooth and also painted over so I am curious how much grip this will have.

I would definitely recommend spending a bit more for something significantly better.
