So I got the crank for my brothers bike and my only complaint about
these is that the chain wheel bolts weren't fully tightened when they
arrived, but that was easy to tighten. Otherwise, it's a really good
looking crank. The color really pop, and the paint seems to hold up
really well. It's lighter than most other cranks out there that are
all steel, and it fits 68mm bottom brackets, which is great. The price
makes this a really good value and with all the sizes and colors, this
crank is really a perfect replacement crank or upgrade. Retrospec is
really pulling through with great quality, design, and value

I dont often "flop" my hub to the fixie side, but I wanted to have a bigger cog for when I did. I found this cog and the Avenir lockring both at a great price here on Amazon, $9.99 shipped for both, much less than other brands. I found the quality of both items to be great, the threads were all perfect and the lockring was nice and tough at the lock notches. I was able to torque it with ease without damaging the notches as has happened to me with some "name brand" lockrings.

I realize these may not be quite as high tech as some other parts, but for the money you cant go wrong.

If you want a sturdy, yet comfortable saddle, that looks way better than what came stock on your ride, then I would wholly suggest checking out this saddle from the folks at Projekt Fixie.

Installation was straight forward; however, you should note that this saddle does not come w/ mounting brackets - so, don't get rid of your current stuff!!

The difference in riding comfort is immediately noticeable over the either too soft or too large stock seats that seem to permeate the "must cater to all" needs of online retailers. For just $13.00, it's a dang good bang for your buck upgrade in comfort and performance!

I ordered the Siddhartha from Amazon in Chrome, in large (57cm), and am pretty happy with the purchase. I am 5'10", with longish arms and legs, and it fits me pretty well. It is fun to ride, and looks very sharp in chrome.

It arrived wihtout directions, but it was mostly assembled, so you don't really need instructions to put on the front wheel, seat, pedals, and handlebars. It arrived in good shape, with no scratches or dings, and the wheels were pretty much in true.

I really enjoy riding it, as it is relatively light for being hi-ten, and has a nice gear ratio that permits me to ride fairly fast around town, but I am still able to handle the few small hills nhear me out of the saddle without loosing much speed.

As mentioned, it looks very nice in chrome, and the white rims and crank add a little more visual interest, as do the fake leather seat and handles. Personally, I think this is a really special bike for the price if you go with the chrome, but if you are considering it in a painted color finish, then the Windsor Essex over at bikesdirect.com is a better value IMHO, since they are similarly featured, but the Essex is Chromo instead of Hi-Ten, and only costs $229 with free shipping. However, the gearing on the Siddhartha is a little more aggressive than the Essex, which is another reason I went with the Siddhartha -- that, and the chrome finish.

The only mods I will be doing out of the gate are replacing the handgrips with better quality grips., The cheap stock grips are really spongy and the fake leather covering is pretty thin, so I think they will get thrashed pretty quickly. I may eventually change out the seat as well, and perhaps replace the stock upright bars with something more interesting and fun.

I just recently purchased a Retrospec El Diablo fixie and I'm pleased to say I'm incredibly happy with my purchase. When I received the bike, the box seemed to have been beaten up on the way but there was no damage done to the bike whatsoever. The only problem I ran into was that it was missing a screw that attaches the handle bars onto the bike. This wasn't a big deal, I was still able to ride, I just had to be more cautious when doing so. I decided to contact the company about this and they seemed to be more than happy to send me a new screw. I live in Chicago where it's mostly flat terrain and mainly use this bike for commuting purposeses. It's safe to say, this bike is one of the best rides I've ever owned. I've also gotten a chance to take it onto more hilly areas and I still enjoy the ride. Sure it's a little bit of a workout, but that's expected when riding a bike. I personally find it more enjoying when you're bombing a hill with this fixie and pedaling hard to keep up, versus cruising down a hill. It gives you less to worry about (what gear you're on) and more time to enjoy the whole ride. The frame seems super solid and light and the deep-v wheels give it that super smooth ride. I couldn't be more happier about this bike and I highly recommend this to anyone interested in a fixie, or just another bike to add to their collection. I'm definitely going to be picking up another ride from these guys soon!

Ok let me start off by saying this bike is totally legit! I have been riding my pieced together fixie around the streets of LA for a few years now and I was long overdue for something new. A few friends of mine mentioned that Retrospec made a killer bike and I should check them out being they are a local company. Sure enough Amazon had every model so I made my big step and bought the Saint Urban.
I went with the 53cm Chrome/White and it looks awesome! It was a breeze putting it together and I ran into zero problems along the way. Unlike my junker the hubs on this bike are sealed so I am expecting far less problems and the wheels are super deep, which give it a killer look and smooth ride. I have only had this bike a week or so but so far so good!
